Fall is in the air...

While the warm Charlotte climate still has not realized that it is Fall yet, the inside of the Misra household sure knows whats up!

The first thing I do with every season is change the bedding! I decided to go with a Pottery Barn duvet cover this year which I absolutely love! I found a matching coverlet at Bed Bath & Beyond that I liked. Lastly, to finish the ensemble I found some 1500 thread count sheets  on Amazon which I highly recommend, they are the most comfortable sheets I've slept in AND they come in about 20 colors which is a huge bonus!

And how could I forget throw pillows!!! A decorative must :) My husband says they serve absolutely no purpose what so ever practically speaking, which he is correct about...but lets be honest, decoratively speaking they finish the look and make the bed look oh so welcoming!  All three decorative pillows were a Target snag!

Now moving onto the other parts of our place, the kitchen perhaps has Fall spilled all over it with the wine and grape theme as it is.  However, I decided to add a few pieces here and there to spice it up.
This awesome pumpkin shaped votive candle holder can be found at Wal-Mart, a place I normally choose to avoid...but I sure am glad I accidentally stumbled upon this the last time I was in there.

Now this little buddy below can be found at good old Rite Aid, I gave her something to sit on by purchasing the metal bucket and packed hay that I placed in the bucket.  Before sitting her down on the hay, I sprinkled down some plastic fall leaves to complete the look.

More finds at Rite Aid include these little bookshelf toppers as I call them, one for each side!  They are adorable with their little dangly legs :)

Of course the dining table that doesn't get used all that much is home to two fall themed candy dishes that house our favorite candy - Dark Chocolate Reeses Peanut Butter Cup!  The candy dishes were a steal at Target's value section, super cheap and super cute!

More scarecrow friends from Rite Aid can be found on the kitchen counters along side one of my favorite candle holders that I got at Bath & Body works.

Our last scarecrow buddy can be found pushing a wheel barrow in the guest bathroom, I got this piece from Yankee Candle last year.

Slowly Fall decorations will transition into Halloween decorations which will transition into Thanksgiving decorations!  Before we know it it'll be Christmas!  I'm not ready for that yet so I think I'll just enjoy Fall first.  On that note, the hubby & I are off to a winery for some wine tasting with Bella cakes this afternoon!

Speaking of Miss Bella,  she has finally recovered from her spaying last week and got a new look this morning as well :)  She is anxiously awaiting Daddy's return from work to see what he thinks about all her pink and all her bling...

Chris & Kandi

I had so much fun taking engagement photos for Kandi & Chris, at the Biltmore nonetheless! The entire set of photos are still a work in progress but here are a few of their favorites :) Thanks for letting me take your engagement portraits! And thanks to my hubby for being so incredibly supportive of me and for being such an awesome assistant :)

Can never go wrong with beautiful gardens!

So glam!

Gorgeous

Game over!

Thought I would end with my absolute favorite :)

We are so excited to celebrate the marriage of these two next year as they "embark" on their "voyage" of married life together on June 14, 2013 on Carnival's newest ship - Carnival Breeze! We get to attend their week long "reception" and can't wait!

A Weekend in Asheville

Last weekend we headed to Asheville, NC for the weekend with our friends Kandi & Chris to tour the Biltmore Estate and take their engagement pictures there!

After getting on the road around 6am, we were starving when we got there a couple hours later and decided to grab some breakfast at the Early Girl Eatery in downtown Asheville.

After fueling up we were ready to tour the estate

And the gardens....
Where we scoped out fun places to take their engagement pictures the next day and in doing so were able to practice some poses for them :)

Next stop on the property was of course the winery!

We tasted some delicious wines and headed onto the harvest festival which included a grape stomp!

We quickly headed back to the hotel where we could change into our College Football gear and headed to dinner at Tupelo Honey Cafe, another amazing restaurant in downtown Asheville.  After dinner we found a sports bar with 19 TVs so that we could watch both the Clemson and Michigan games concurrently - neither ended very well so I won't expand on it any further.

The next morning we got up bright and early to take Kandi & Chris' engagement pictures (next blog post!), we grabbed this group shot in the midst of the portraits:

After finishing up their pictures we headed home, but not before we stopped for this view off of the Blue Ridge Parkway :)

It was so good to come home and see this precious face :)
We missed her so much since it was the first time we'd left her but we knew she was having an amazing time with her boyfriend Stiches.  Aunt Sherri & Uncle Brad were so good to her for the weekend and spoiled her so much :)

Happy Birthday Momma Misra!

About a week ago I wished my mom a very happy birthday and today I am wishing my amazing mother in law a very happy birthday as well! I hope she had the day she deserved and am looking forward to her visit in November when we can celebrate together!

This was us celebrating her birthday last year in Michigan :)
