Ladies Book Club April Edition

The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro was on the dockett for this month's book club:

I will say I would not have thought to pick this book up if it had not been for book club.  Once I got far enough into the book though, I could not put it down.  I'd recommend it to anyone who is into 19th century artwork AND loves a mystery/suspense novel.  This one had both areas covered!  And while I don't normally find myself interested in art, I found this book almost educational and very enjoyable from the mystery standpoint.  The cool part about the book is that I was reading it around the time that we had gone to Boston and much of the book takes place in Boston itself so it was really cool being able to be in the area and see the sights that the book referred to.  

In light of recent events at the Boston Marathon and since then, I have held off on blogging about our trip to Boston & Portland earlier in the month but I promise I'll be back with an update from that wonderful trip and my birthday weekend.

Happy Birthday to my Dad!

I seriously do not know where my blogging motivation has gone - life has been so busy recently that I've just been trying to keep up! I promise I'll be back with exciting updates soon but I just wanted to take a moment to wish my dad a very happy birthday back on Wednesday, April 17th.  He is my biggest role model and inspiration :)

Wedding season 2013 kicked off on March 23 for us when we attended the wedding of one of my pharmacy school friends in High Point, NC.  Seema and Vaibhav's relationship reminds me of my relationship with Swarup in some ways.  The two met while they were in pharmacy and medical school and graduated at the same time.  Then they did long distance for a little less than a year while Vaibhav started neurosurgery residency in San Antonio, TX and Seema got licensed and started working for Rite Aid in High Point/Greensboro, NC.  Seema packed up her life and moved to San Antonio to be with her new husband just a couple days after they got married.  I'm so glad that they can finally be together :) Their wedding was a great time for us to catch up with friends too!  I was so excited to see my old pharmacist I worked with at Rite Aid in Richmond as an Intern since Seema had interned at the same store as me.
