Bella's First Graduation

Last Wednesday, Rup & I were proud parents so to speak.  Our little baby Bella graduated from puppy obedience school with flying colors! She was a fast learner and has been very obedient considering she is a small dog. She sure hated that graduation cap and I'm sure she would have shredded her certificate to pieces if only she had gotten her mouth on it ;)   

Congrats Bella :) I highly recommend Petsmart training to any new puppy parents if you want your dog to learn loose leash walking and commands such as touch, come, drop it, leave it, take it, sit, down, stay, go to your place, shake, and if you're really ambitious maybe even high five - it's Bella's favorite!

New Year, New Bedding

I could just use the new year as an excuse for everything new that I buy this year....but in all seriousness, our bedding gets changed every few months or so and January seemed like a great time to go out and get brand new bedding and retire some of the older stuff :) I went with a simplistic, clean look for the Winter (or supposed Winter) that Charlotte might get.  White on both beds with a touch of color it was! I ended up finding both of these duvet covers from good ole' Target :)

2012 Wrap Up!

As the year 2012 came to an end I can honestly say that it was definitely the biggest year of our lives and there is nothing that I would change about it!  We were so blessed in 2012 :)  In mostly chronological order, here are the biggest moments of 2012 for us:

We rang in 2012 together in Daytona Beach, Fl while on vacation!

In January, we traveled to Chicago together for the 3rd time! 

In February, we traveled to our new home Charlotte to start our search for places to live.

April came around and I was celebrating 26 years!

Soon after in May, Rup celebrated 29 years!

In the spring to celebrate our birthdays and vacationed in the lovely Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and enjoyed wine tasting, hiking, and the Luray Caverns.

May 22 we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary <3

I finally graduated from my Doctorate of Pharmacy program!

Rup graduated from his 4 year Emergency Medicine residency!

We moved to Charlotte which finally put an end to our 3 years of long distance!

We celebrated our first holiday in Charlotte together (4th of July) poolside with newfound friends!

After passing my boards I'd studied for all summer I started my new job at Rite Aid as a pharmacist!

Rup started his new job at CMC as an ER attending!

As if July wasn't exciting enough for us, we expanded our family and got our long awaited maltese puppy and center of our attention Bella <3

We went to our first Carolina Panthers football game

Bella won our apartment complex's first Pet of the Month competition!

In October we traveled to the west coast and explored the beautiful state of Colorado

I got to see the fab five US Women's Olympic gymnastics team perform live here in Charlotte at the Time Warner Cable Arena while they were on the Kellogs Tour of Champions! 

Made my first big girl purchase and bought a new car - I absolutely love my new Highlander!

In November, I ran my second half marathon, exactly a year after my first.  I won't be waiting so long to run my next one :) 

And finally, we wrapped up the year with our first holiday season in Charlotte together.

If 2012 was this great for us, I can't wait to see what adventures, memories, and excitement 2013 will bring to us!  We wish you all a blessed new year and all the best to everyone in 2013!
